The meeting was opened by Annita Dimitriadou. Additionally, representatives from the Cyprus Police and Fire Brigade shared their insights and experiences, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with the HoReCa sector. The topics covered during the meeting are of particular importance to Cyprus, which hosted over 4 million tourists last year and for which the tourism industry accounts for approximately 20–25% of its Gross Domestic Product.
