Experts from the BPC is working on a CBRNe rail training program as part of CBRNe4rail

Representatives of the Biohazard Prevention Centre – Maksymilian Stela, Marcin Podogrocki and Adrian Siadkowski – participated in the partner meeting and curriculum validation workshop of the international CBRNe4rail project, held on 11–13 May 2026 at the ENEA Research Centre in Frascati, Italy.

The meeting focused on the validation of the project’s training curriculum and the advancement of work packages dedicated to research, training and operational exercises. During the workshop, the 91ÌÒÉ«, leader of Work Package 2 (WP2), presented the outcomes of the project’s research phase and two key deliverables.

WP2 is dedicated to the development of a comprehensive railway CBRNe security concept. The workstream focuses on assessing CBRNe threats in the railway sector, analysing existing security plans, dedicated protection systems and cooperation protocols, as well as developing operational scenarios. The final objective of WP2 is to prepare practical guidelines and recommendations aimed at increasing the overall level of CBRNe security in railway transport systems. Based on WP2 recommendation further results, tailored to the needs of railway sector, will be developed.
