During a class an incident involving a CBRN agent occurred. The lecturer had to immediately suspend the class and respond appropriately; an immediate evacuation was ordered.
EVACUATION PROCEDURE:
1) Notify the supervisor/building manager
2) Notify emergency services
3) Evacuation 鈥 escort students out
4) Initial decontamination:
- Separation of evacuees into contaminated and uncontaminated groups
- Initial decontamination
5) Operational activities of the State Fire Service:
- Securing the area
- Full decontamination of contaminated individuals
The exercises were conducted with students majoring in Criminalistics Biology as part of a field course on 鈥淐BRN Threats.鈥 This course was developed on the initiative of the hasztag#BiohazardPreventionCentre to expand knowledge and awareness of these threats and the principles of responding to incidents involving them.

The exercise was organized by the Uniwersytet 艁贸dzki (Univeristy of Lodz) and UNICOPS - CBRNE Protection for Higher Education Institutions, in cooperation with the State Fire Service鈥檚 Specialized Chemical and Ecological Rescue Group - Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 4 in 艁贸d藕 - as well as Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 8 in 艁贸d藕.
