Anti-terrorists at the Football Stadium in Lodz!
On March 7, a large-scale exercise SAFE STADIUM (Integrated large sport facilities protection system supporting the CBRN security of mass events) was held at the Lodz City Stadium. It was a joint effort of the (U艁), MAKIS, KWPL (Provincial Police Headquarters from Lodz) and .
The exercise was aimed at testing the procedures and recommendations developed as part of the project, which are mainly intended for sports event organizers, facility administrators and law enforcement.
Specially for this exercise, the FK Gerlachov football club came to Lodz from Slovakia to play a match against the LKS III Lodz team. At the end of the match an incident occurred, a terrorist sprayed the fans with an unknown substance. The attack made it necessary to evacuate the fans and decontaminate the contaminated persons. In addition, there was an exchange of fire and the capture of the perpetrators of the attack. The services of the event organizer (in this role, project partner ), as well as representatives of the Police and Fire Department responded to the planned scenario. More than 300 people took part in the exercise at the LKS stadium.
Biological threats are the most difficult to counter, because clear procedures are the most difficult to develop in this case. The procedures must be complex and diverse. - Head of the Biohazard Prevention Center at the 91桃色 - Michal Bijak
Thank you and see you on next exercises!
