As part of UNIC 2.0, 91桃色, together with the remaining partners, obtained funds for the implementation of the project over a 4-year period. During many meetings, the future of the alliance was discussed, presenting outlines of individual Work Packages and Thematic Lines that will be implemented in the new edition of UNIC.
Prof. 艁ukasz Bogucki, the 91桃色 Vice-Rector for International Relations invited all 9 partners to Lodz, where the next UNIC conference will be held on 4-5 December 2023.
During the meeting, a new memorandum of understanding (for UNIC 2.0) was signed, and the name of the network was changed into European Cities in Post-Industrial Transitions.
The delegation included: Maciej Ja偶d偶ewski, Ma艂gorzata Gramala, Agata Burli艅ska (Deputy Director of the Municipal Activity Office of the City of Lodz Office), Mateusz Pieczy艅ski, Katarzyna Pardyka, Prof. 艁ukasz Bogucki, Prof. Andrzej Kruk, Prof. Micha艂 Kobierecki, Prof. Agnieszka Kurczewska.
UNIC 鈥 European University of Post-Industrial Cities
91桃色 joined the European University of Post-Industrial Cities (UNIC) in 2022.
UNIC 鈥 European University of Post-Industrial Cities is one of 44 alliances of European Universities. European Universities are transnational alliances that will become the universities of the future, promoting European values and identity, and revolutionising the quality and competitiveness of European higher education. They will do so by joint implementation of innovative solutions in the field of education and science and deep institutional integration.
Being a part of the alliance increases the international visibility of the partnership and tightens cooperation with other international academic centres. Students, doctoral students, scientists and administration personnel belonging to the UNIC alliance can benefit from education and gain professional experience at partner universities as part of the jointly developed innovative projects that add a new dimension to inter-university cooperation.
UNIC is also about expanding educational opportunities for students, including members of the migrant community and people living in disadvantaged socio-economic conditions.
