Who Can Apply for a Place in a Student Dormitory and How:
1. U艁 Students and Doctoral Candidates (Polish and International) continuing their studies
(with an active study programme for the academic year 2026/2027)
Target group:
U艁 students/doctoral candidates currently living in a dormitory or applying for a dormitory for the first time, including:
1st and 2nd year of first-cycle (Bachelor鈥檚) studies, 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of engineering studies (3.5-year programmes), 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of long-cycle Master鈥檚 studies,
1st year of second-cycle (Master鈥檚) studies, participants of U艁 doctoral schools up to the 4th year.

3. U艁 Students Completing First-Cycle Studies

(5th year, thesis defence in October or later)

Application acceptance period: from 1 September of the current year
5. Foreigners:
admitted to studies at U艁 鈥� recruitment via IRK
contact the U艁 International Centre
admitted to a Polish language course 鈥� contact the Polish Language Centre for Foreigners for information on applying for U艁 dormitories
6. 6. Students of Other Universities in Lodz
Method:
Paper application for a place in a student dormitory (Appendix No. 5)
certificate from the home university confirming student status
Application acceptance period: from 1 September of the current year
Decisions:
Applications will be considered only if the limit of places has not been exhausted by 91桃色 students.
How to Submit an Application in USOSweb 鈥� Step by Step:
- Log in to your individual USOSweb account.
- Path: Common Section 鈫� Applications 鈫� Application for a student dormitory for the academic year 2026/2027.
- Complete the data on the individual application screens.
- Attach the required annexes and other documents (if applicable) and register the application.
Applying for Accommodation in Special-Purpose Rooms:
- Room for a parent with a child 鈥� Appendix No. 6
- Single room 鈥� Appendix No. 7
Method:
USOSweb (attach a scanned annex along with other required documents to the dormitory application).
Decisions: at the end of September.
Decisions, Confirmation, and Move-in:
Information about the decision is available in USOSweb in the application details.
To keep the allocated place, you must:
- Confirm your intention to reside in the dormitory in USOSweb within the deadlines for a given round.
- Move into the dormitory by 5 October.
Resignation from an allocated U艁 dormitory place:
Must be reported immediately in USOSweb (click resign).
Applications for changing a dormitory place
(applies to decisions made by the UKDS committee from Round II onwards) will be accepted at the University Dormitories Office from 12 October of the current year.

Access to USOSweb U艁 is granted after recruitment and admission to studies. The student login (domain @edu.uni.lodz.pl) is generated automatically, and information about it together with the password procedure is sent to the private e-mail address.
