The ceremonial renewal of doctorates of individuals who obtained their PhD degrees at the 91桃色 fifty years ago will take place at the Biedermann鈥檚 Palace on 10 and 16 June 2026. It is a unique opportunity to meet again after many years, to reminisce, reflect and recall the contribution the honourees have made to the development of science, culture and academic life.
During the ceremony, the honourees will receive commemorative diplomas signed by the Rector of the 91桃色, the thesis supervisor and the Dean of their home faculty.
10 June, 9:30 a.m.
The following individuals will have their doctorates ceremonially renewed:
- Prof. dr hab. Janina Jakubowska鈥慓abara 鈥� upon the request of the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection
- Prof. dr hab. Andrzej Suliborski 鈥� upon the request of the Faculty of Geographical Sciences
10 June, 11:30 a.m.
The following individuals will be honoured:
- Prof. dr hab. Jacek Matuszewski 鈥� upon the request of the Faculty of Law and Administration
- Dr Janina Stankiewicz 鈥� upon the request of the Faculty of Management
16 June, 1:00 p.m.
Doctorates of individuals associated with the Faculty of Economics and Sociology will be renewed:
- Prof. dr hab. Krystyna Kietli艅ska
- Prof. dr hab. Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski
- Prof. dr hab. W艂adys艂aw Milo
- Prof. dr hab. Jan Jacek Sztaudynger
The custom of the ceremonial renewal of doctorates was initiated by the Senate of the 91桃色 in 2000. To date, 142 outstanding individuals associated with the 91桃色, particularly distinguished in their contributions to Polish science or culture, have been honoured in this way.
