Dr Paulina Ka藕mierska-Gr臋bowska is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurobiology, University of 艁贸d藕. Her research interests focus on the neurobiological mechanisms of memory, oscillatory brain activity, synaptic plasticity, and neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders.

Scope of duties as Assistant Professor

1. Research duties

• Conducting scientific research in the fields of neurophysiology and neuropharmacology, with particular emphasis on the mechanisms of memory and learning, neuronal oscillations, synaptic plasticity, and neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders.
• Leading research projects funded by the National Science Centre, Poland, including PRELUDIUM, ETIUDA and SONATA projects focused on the mechanisms of oscillatory brain activity and memory processes.
• Participating in national and international research projects carried out in collaboration with scientific institutions in Poland and abroad.
• Conducting research using electrophysiological and behavioural methods, as well as animal models of neurological diseases.
• Developing international collaboration, including cooperation with research centres in the United States.
• Preparing and implementing research projects funded by national and international sources, and publishing research findings in scientific journals.
• Reviewing scientific manuscripts and research project proposals for national and international scientific institutions.

2. Teaching duties

• Conducting classes for students of biology, forensic biology and psychology.
• Teaching courses in human physiology, neurobiology and animal physiology.
• Supervising students preparing bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 theses, including acting as thesis supervisor.

3. Organizational and science outreach duties

• Organizing and co-organizing scientific, teaching and science outreach events.
• Actively promoting the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of 艁贸d藕, including participation in the Biologists鈥� Night and activities of the Institute of Creative Biology.
• Popularizing knowledge in the fields of neurobiology and biomedical sciences through lectures, workshops and educational events.
