Teaching and research in the field of French and Francophone literature and culture. Courses include literary theory, rhetoric, French literature (including non-fiction and political literature), and contemporary journalistic genres. Research interests also encompass opera and lyric theatre, melodrama in France, and Francophone Canadian theatre in Quebec.

Supervision of BA and MA theses, participation in the organizational work of the department, and involvement in research projects and international academic cooperation. Promotion of contemporary French and Francophone culture through teaching and scholarly activities.
