Enable MFA – multi-factor authentication.
It takes half a minute, and it can protect you from stress, data loss and account takeovers.
Why are we making this change?
In recent months, there has been a significant increase in unauthorised login attempts across the higher education sector, originating from IP addresses outside of Poland. These are most commonly account takeover attempts aimed at:
- sending phishing and spam,
- extorting data or funds,
- gaining access to university resources.
MFA is currently the most effective method of protecting your account – even if your password is compromised, an attacker will not gain access without a second element of verification.
What does this mean in practice?
- When logging in from outside Poland, students will be required to confirm their identity (e.g., via the Microsoft Authenticator app or an SMS code).
- Logging in from Poland remains the same – with no changes to everyday use of the services.
