The event is organized by the Department of Geobotany and Plant Ecology and the Department of Algology and Mycology. The scientific collaboration with Prof. Ikram Madani covers plants (primarily carpological analyses), fungi (plant parasites) and algae (primarily diatoms) collected during a scientific expedition of UniLodz biologists to Sudan in 2023. The lecture will highlight the surprisingly rich and diverse flora of this desert country.
