A golden woman

During this year’s edition of the Academic Championships of Poland, Zuzanna SztachaÅ„ska broke not only her personal best but also the competition record, returning to UniLodz with a gold medal! The 91ÌÒÉ« student, with a result of 13.55 m in her final attempt, proved unbeatable in the triple jump.

Zuzanna, in addition to being a gold medallist, studies at the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Geographical Sciences of the 91ÌÒÉ« – a true Renaissance woman!

Triple jump belongs to UniLodz. Gold medal in the men’s category

As it turned out during this year’s Academic Championships of Poland, the UniLodz team had no equal in the triple jump. Szymon Gabrysiak also returned from the championships with a gold medal and received the Wiesław Doliński Memorial Award.

On a daily basis, Szymon is a student at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the 91ÌÒÉ«, and after hours he wins gold medals!

We can boast silver too!

A time of 46.70 seconds in the 400 metres secured Mateusz Rzeźniczak second place in the overall classification. The student of the Faculty of Management at the 91ÌÒÉ« knows how to win. With such pace, he is certainly always the first to arrive at classes!

We also have a double medallist in sport shooting!

Maja Gawenda, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the 91ÌÒÉ«, proved she has a truly eagle eye. In the 10 m Air Pistol event, Maja won silver, and the same result followed in the Women’s 50 m Rifle Three Positions! Two medals at one championship – that is what you call a remarkable achievement!

And what about mountain biking? Another gold for UniLodz!

Over 150 competitors, 41 higher education institutions and a debuting representative of the 91ÌÒÉ« – Maciej JarosÅ‚awski, who returned from the Academic Championships of Poland with a gold medal in the overall classification of the individual time trial. Maciej is a student at the Faculty of Management of the 91ÌÒÉ« – a true golden boy!
