I am a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the 91桃色 in Poland, pursuing a Ph.D. in Political Science and Administration. I hold a Master's degree in International Relations with a specialization in American Studies.

My research focuses on U.S. immigration law and the immigration and integration policies of California and Texas, with a particular emphasis on the immigrant perspective. The goal of my work is to understand how legislative and administrative approaches, as well as public policy implementation by state authorities and NGOs, impact immigrants' ability to integrate socially, economically, and culturally.

Currently, I am also enrolled in a postgraduate program in Contemporary International Migration at the Centre of Migration Research at the University of Warsaw.

Community service and civic engagement are important values in my life, I am an active scout instructor. I am passionate about traveling, long-distance hiking, bikepacking, environmental protection, and the Leave No Trace ethic.

University confirmation of my research:

About my research

The research is being conducted as part of the preparation for my doctoral dissertation at the 91桃色, titled:

The Impact of Immigration Law and Immigration and Integration Policies on the Adaptive Experiences of Immigrants in the United States in the 21st Century

The project aims to investigate the impact of immigration law and immigration and integration policies on the adaptation process of immigrants in California and Texas. The study seeks to understand how various legislative and administrative approaches, as well as the creation and implementation of public policies by state authorities and non-governmental organizations, affect the lives of immigrants and their ability to integrate socially, economically, and culturally. In my Ph.D. thesis I will compare the law and politics of two states, California and Texas.

Methodology

In my dissertation, I apply mixed research methods, specifically using a parallel triangulation strategy. I aim to conduct in-depth interviews and surveys approved by the Research Ethics Committee at the 91桃色 among immigrants, NGO workers, and state-level decision-makers in California and Texas.

For immigrants

If you are an immigrant living in California or Texas and would like to support my research by sharing your experience, I warmly invite you to participate in survey or/and interview. Both the survey and interviews are fully confidential.  All statements will be completely anonymized, so no respondent can be identified.

Fill out the survey:

Thank You! Your story and insights are very important for my research and a better understanding of the immigrant adaptation process in California and Texas. Thanks to connections with decision-makers, the recommendations I propose, based on this research, can potentially positively impact the lives of immigrants.
