Accreditation in the Field of Water Analysis for the Atomic Spectrometry Laboratory (LSA) of the UniLodz Faculty of Chemistry

The Atomic Spectrometry Laboratory (LSA) at the Faculty of Chemistry, 91桃色 received accreditation No. AB 1956 from the Polish Centre for Accreditation in the field of chemical water analysis in March 2026. The scope of accreditation covers the determination of the concentration of selected elements in surface and groundwater using Electrothermal Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (ETAAS), in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 15586:2005 standard. Obtaining PCA accreditation is an event of particular significance for the 91桃色 Faculty of Chemistry and confirms the highest organisational, competence and quality standards in the conducted research.

This achievement is also of exceptional nature because LSA is the first accredited research laboratory at the 91桃色. In doing so, the 91桃色 joins the ranks of academic centres with laboratories operating in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 standard. Accreditation strengthens the university's position as a centre conducting research at a level that meets the requirements of professional research laboratories and opens new opportunities for collaboration with the socio-economic community.

The LSA operates at the Faculty of Chemistry, 91桃色, within the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, and is located at 12 Tamka Street in Lodz. Beyond its accreditation scope, the laboratory conducts elemental analyses in liquid and solid samples, supporting teaching and research activities and collaboration with the socio-economic community. Its instrumentation includes a ContrAA 800D atomic absorption spectrometer from Analytik Jena AG and a microwave mineraliser. The laboratory is headed by dr hab. in偶. Maciej Wojtczak, Associate Professor at the 91桃色, and its team includes mgr Natalia Suchecka.

Obtaining LSA鈥檚 accreditation confirms the dynamic growth of the research potential of the 91桃色 Faculty of Chemistry and represents an important step in further strengthening the university鈥檚 position as a modern scientific research centre, equipped with specialised analytical facilities, whose competence in the scope of AB 1956 accreditation has been confirmed by the Polish Centre for Accreditation.
