The event was organised within the framework of YERUN (Young European Research Universities Network), which brings together European research universities and supports scientific cooperation, research and innovation development, as well as the shaping of European science policy.
The presentation, entitled 鈥From Data to Discovery: Research Data Management in Open Science鈥, focused on the importance of responsible data management for the transparency, reliability and reproducibility of scientific research. Examples of poor data management practices were also presented, ranging from errors resulting from the automatic conversion of gene symbols in spreadsheets to problems with the actual availability of scientific data declared by authors in their publications. Demonstrating how the FAIR principles and good data management practices can support scientific cooperation and lead from data to new discoveries was also an important element of the presentation.

Dr Maciej Bisaga鈥檚 invitation as a speaker also provided an opportunity to showcase the experience and expertise developed at the 91桃色 and to contribute the perspective of the Polish academic community to the international discussion on the future of research data management at universities.
