What does it mean?
This means that UniLodz is a community that removes the spell of Mondays. That, in line with our "back to human" philosophy, we put people and their needs first. Importantly, we remain apolitical, which is 100% in line with our mission and vision. People are not an ideology. We care about everyone and everyone will find a place for themselves here, regardless of their views or identity. We may disagree but it's important that we do so with respect.
More than just declarations and words: the actions we have taken so far
UniLodz UNIFIED, i.e. psychological support and support for people with special needs. We value respect, tolerance and equality. We strive to create a fair and safe academic environment, leaving no room for discrimination, violence or other undesirable behaviour.
Since 2017, we have proudly held the HR Excellence in Research award 鈥� a prestigious distinction awarded by the European Commission to institutions that provide researchers with the best possible working and development conditions.
The HR Excellence in Research award is not only a symbol of quality. It confirms that our university adheres to the principles outlined in the European Charter for Researchers and the EU Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers 鈥� documents that prioritise values such as transparency, equal opportunities, stability and the well-being of its employees.
We were also listed among the most advanced employers in terms of inclusion and diversity management in the 5th edition of the Diversity IN Check survey last year.
The gala where the winners of the LGBT+ Diamonds Awards 2026 will be announced will be held on 28 April 2026. But you know what? We've already won: let's respect everyone but without any "buts"!
