PARKSMART is the winning project of the 6th edition of the EkSoc StartUp competition and is currently being developed in cooperation with the City of 艁贸d藕. Its creators have developed a tool that helps users find parking spaces in the city centre in an entirely new way.
Instead of indicating a single parking space, the application analyses the entire paid parking zone. All you need to do is enter your destination and planned arrival time, and the system will show the areas where you have the highest chance of finding a parking space.
- You can view the situation across the entire zone, rather than on just one street.
- You receive a forecast of parking space availability for the time you plan to arrive.
- You are provided with alternative locations near your destination.
- You can compare walking times from different areas and choose the most convenient option.
The pilot phase of the project will run until November 13.
If you are driving around 艁贸d藕 and looking for parking in the city centre during this period, visit the ParkSmart website and join the group of testers. Your experiences will help further develop an innovation created by students from the 91桃色.
Adrian Kucharski, the project leader, is counting on your support.
We are looking for testers among all drivers travelling around 艁贸d藕. ParkSmart works in a mobile browser, with no need to install anything from an app store, create an account or provide personal details and it is completely free of charge. After parking, you simply click whether you managed to find a space, which helps train the application鈥檚 engine and improve forecasts for the entire zone
鈥 says Adrian Kucharski (a fifth-year Law student).
We are keeping our fingers crossed for a successful pilot phase!
