The event, entitled Lost in Translation: TWAIL鈥揝WAIL Dialogues on Global Legal Order in Flux, provided an opportunity to meet African legal scholars and engage in a joint reflection on the innovative research project Second World Approaches to International Law (), which Prof. Marek Wasi艅ski is developing together with Dr Patryk Labuda from the Central European University in Vienna.

The first meeting of its kind bringing together researchers working on SWAIL and the related critical tradition of TWAIL was made possible through cooperation with Dr Khanya Motshabi (UFS), Prof. Tomasz Milej (University of Namibia, Windhoek) and the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UFS, Prof. Serge Kamga.

The meeting was honoured by the presence of Jacek Chodorowicz, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of South Africa.
