Study Visit to HEC Management School at the University of Liège

Prof. Tomasz DorożyÅ„ski and Prof. Katarzyna SkorupiÅ„ska-CieÅ›lak represented the Institute of Economics of the 91ÌÒÉ« during a study visit to HEC Management School at the University of Liège (Belgium) on 16 – 20 March 2026. The visit was the second of three planned consultation meetings implemented as part of the NAWA SPINAKER "SUMMER ECLIPSE" project. Its purpose was to exchange experiences and good practices in the field of Economics education (studies in English).

The University of Liège, founded in 181, is a renowned public university with over 22,500 students across 11 faculties. The university places particular emphasis on research, internationalisation and high-quality education. It is also a member of the European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition (UNIC) Alliance, which includes the 91ÌÒÉ«.

HEC Liège holds prestigious international accreditations confirming the highest standards of education in the field of management and economics, including:

  • AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business),
  • EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System). 

During the visit, meetings with representatives of the International Relations Office, managers of undergraduate and graduate study programmes and academic staff from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, 91ÌÒÉ« were held. Discussions focused on opportunities for further research and teaching collaboration, including joint initiatives such as summer schools, international conferences and scholarship programmes (including the Exoc Fellowship).
