The awarded doctoral dissertation by Dr Olga Krzeczewska entitled "Znaczenie informacji o upad艂o艣ci dla kszta艂towania si臋 st贸p zwrotu z akcji w wybranych sektorach" [The importance of information on bankruptcy for the formation of stock returns in selected sectors] has been written under the scientific supervision of dr hab. Rados艂aw Pastusiak, Associate Professor at the 91桃色 (supervisor) and Dr Micha艂 Soliwoda (auxiliary supervisor).
The paper analyses the occurrence of the information transfer phenomenon and the effects related to the publication of information about bankruptcy. The aim of the study was to assess how the declaration of bankruptcy affects the formation of stock returns in sectors in which a bankruptcy application was filed 鈥� using the example of the Polish stock market. The study used methods such as a critical literature review, event analysis and econometric methods.
