Exhibitions, Guided Tours and Workshops – What Awaits Us During the Fotofestiwal Grand Finale Weekend at the Biedermann’s Palace?

Fotofestiwal is one of the most important photography festivals in Europe, and thanks to its long-standing cooperation with the 91ɫ, the Main Festival Centre of its 25th edition has become the Alfred Biedermann’s Palace at 1/5 Franciszkańska Street. All good things must come to an end – and this is no exception. Before the finale, however – a grand closing! What awaits Fotofestiwal participants during the final weekend at the Biedermann’s Palace?

Thursday – 25 June

Exhibitions from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last entry at 4:30 p.m.), visitors will be able to explore engaging exhibitions presented as part of Fotofestiwal. These are the final days, so don’t delay!

Friday – 26 June

Exhibitions – open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last entry at 7:30 p.m.), but that’s not all for Friday!

Secrets of the Biedermann Palace: guided tour with the history of the family and the building – 5:00 p.m. – the Biedermann Palace hides many secrets, which visitors will have the opportunity to discover during a guided tour. We encourage arriving early – the number of places is limited.

Saturday – 27 June

Exhibitions – open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last entry at 7:30 p.m.). In addition, throughout Saturday, the Biedermann’s Palace will offer something for everyone!

“Między tropem a kadrem” [Between the Track and the Frame] – 11:00 a.m. – WWF Poland presents how photography supports naturalists. Participants will take part in an inspiring discussion with lynx expert Stefan Jakimiuk. This will be an opportunity to learn fascinating facts about the largest wild cats.

Contemporary Belarusian Photography – presentation – 12:30 p.m. – a meeting with Belarusian photographers offers the chance to explore the practices, research processes and broader contexts of ten artists from Belarus. The meeting will be held in English.

“Spotkanie przez wzajemne spojrzenie: Dialog o demokracji i kulturze między Tajwanem a Polską” [Meeting Through Mutual Gaze: A Dialogue on Democracy and Culture Between Taiwan and Poland] – 3:00 p.m. – how do Taiwan and Poland perceive each other? This and many other questions will be addressed by Dr Maciej Gaca and Wei-Yun Lin, who has long been actively promoting knowledge about Polish culture and language in the Sinosphere.

Wildlife Photography and Filmmaking. Meeting with Robert Dróżdż – 5:00 p.m. – something for wildlife enthusiasts! No one can speak about it better than a naturalist, photographer and wildlife filmmaker – Robert Dróżdż. Join us for what promises to be an inspiring meeting.

A Few Words About Dumplings: A Tasty Dialogue Between Taiwanese Dumplings and Polish Pierogi – 4:00 p.m. – seemingly similar, yet so different in taste, history and cultural significance. Lovers of good food will certainly leave satisfied…and perhaps a little hungry!

“PTASIE DISCO” Concert – 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – music created from birdsong? Yes – combined with dance! Finnish artists Pasi Autio and Saku Koistinen will take us into the world of wild nature through sound. Definitely worth experiencing!

Sunday – 28 June – Grand Finale

Exhibitions – as on previous days, open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last entry at 7:30 p.m.). However, the last day of Fotofestiwal at the Biedermann’s Palace offers even more attractions!

Fundraising brunch and meeting with the Viva! Foundation – 12:00 p.m. – the Viva! Foundation works to improve animal welfare – from education and training in public institutions to running campaigns and initiatives promoting ethical treatment of animals. During a meeting over coffee and vegan food, you will learn how to support the foundation’s work and care for animal wellbeing in everyday life. Let’s come together for animals.

Closing Ceremony of Fotofestiwal and Ravekjavik festivals featuring: TUNGLLEYSA, Ruxpin and Marta Forsberg – 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – if we are to finish, let it be with impact! Fotofestiwal will conclude with concerts by Tunglleysa, Ruxpin and Marta Forsberg. Expect a futuristic and energetic atmosphere! Join us for the final concerts – it will certainly be a memorable ending.
