This event was born of a heartfelt impulse just after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Thanks to the commitment of dr hab. Joanna Grabowska, dr hab., Justyna Polit, dr hab. Agnieszka Rewicz, and mgr Konrad Kaczmarek it has become a beautiful tradition, which brings together the entire academic community of the 91ɫ. From 5 to 8 May, we invite everyone to the buildings of the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the 91ɫ:
- Building A (Banacha 12/16)
- Building D (Pomorska 141/143)
We'll be here for you every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This year, we've prepared a refreshed event format. On the opening day, 5 May, we're hosting representatives from the Association of the Society of Friends of Animals ARKADIA in Głowno and the AZYL Foundation in Łódź. This is a great opportunity to talk in person about the challenges these organisations face and learn more about volunteering and responsible adoption.

Additionally, this year, for the first time, the Palm House of the Municipal Greenery Authority in Łódź has joined us as a co-organiser and enriched the fair's offer with unique species such as Dracaena reflexa, Aglaonema commutatum and interesting varieties of ficuses.

Four ways to help animals in need
1. Bring your plants to the fair
Do you have excess cuttings, offshoots, post-repotting plants? Cacti, ferns, monsteras – all of them can become superheroes.
Place them on the fair table! Your plant, in exchange for food or a donation, can find a new home and bring joy to others.
2. Bring animal food – take a plant
Perhaps you will return home with a new monstera, or maybe you will choose to care for a small cutting just beginning its green life. Either way – by bringing food – you are helping. At the fair, you will find plants carefully propagated, fertilised and watered for many months by staff of our faculty.
3. Support an animal – put a donation into the collection box
Throughout the entire duration of the fair, collection boxes will be available at the stand in Building D. These will be provided by the organisations we are supporting this year: the AZYL Foundation (permit number W 2014/2192/OR) and the ARKADIA Association of the Society of Friends of Animals (National Court Register number 0000345382).
4. Make a donation to the organisation’s bank account
This year, we have also introduced the possibility of transferring a donation directly to the organisations we support. If you are unable to bring animal food, make a donation into the collection box or via BLIK.
