We have noticed growing interest in the future of the historic building of the 91桃色 Library, and therefore we would like to briefly present the current stage of activities related to its protection and further development.
Before any further decisions regarding the future of the building are made, we are preparing a historical and conservation study, together with an evaluation of the 91桃色 Library building complex. This will allow us to identify in detail the historical, architectural, artistic and cultural values of the Library and to define the principles for their protection.
Work on the study has been underway since the summer and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2026. The next step, which has long been planned, is to initiate the procedure for entering the building into the register of historic monuments.
The 91桃色 Library remains a vibrant and intensively used space, but its historic building requires revitalisation and changes that will enable it to meet the contemporary needs of students, staff and library users. We want to prepare these changes in a way that preserves the unique nature of the Library and its most valuable assets.
The historic Library building is the heart of the university and we want it to be full of life, just as the newer part of the building is today. It should be a place that prospective students encounter first and then continue to visit regularly throughout their studies. Our ambition is for this building to offer opportunities for meaningful meetings, relaxation and entertainment for as much of the week as possible to everyone interested. We already have an initial vision and programme assumptions for these spaces
