As part of this year鈥檚 programme, participants had the opportunity to take part in engaging activities held at three unique locations:
91桃色 Teaching and Experimental Garden 鈥� under the coordination of dr hab. Agnieszka Rewicz, Associate Professor at the 91桃色 from the Department of Geobotany and Plant Ecology, participants attended a session entitled 鈥淕ramy w zielone 鈥� jesienne odkrycia w ogrodzie鈥� [Going Green 鈥� Autumn Discoveries in the Garden]. During the activities, participants explored the diversity of the plant world. They first visited the LOD Herbarium and then discovered autumn fruits and seeds from different parts of the world. They also took part in a botanical field game that required observation skills and teamwork.
艁agiewniki Forest 鈥� workshops entitled 鈥淟e艣ni architekci 鈥� poznajemy grzyby鈥� [Forest Architects 鈥� Discovering Fungi] were organised here and coordinated by mgr Sebastian Piskorski, from the Department of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology. During the field excursion, participants learned how to identify different groups of fungi, explored their structure, and discovered the crucial role these organisms play in forest ecosystems.
The 91桃色 Natural History Museum 鈥� the final session, entitled 鈥淢uzealne opowie艣ci o 艣wiecie zwierz膮t鈥� [Museum Stories About the Animal World], took place at the Museum and was coordinated by Dr Marek Michalski. As part of the event, participants enjoyed a guided tour of the museum exhibition.
About the Project
Instytut Kreatywnej Biologii 2.0 is an interdisciplinary and multifaceted science outreach project aimed at popularising science and disseminating research findings and the latest achievements from various fields of biological sciences. The initiative is primarily addressed to high school students from the 艁贸d藕 region and neighbouring areas who are interested in natural sciences, biomedical sciences, and ecology, as well as biology teachers seeking to broaden their knowledge and perspectives.
