During the session of the Commission, Prof. Piotr Szukalski made a statement on behalf of the Polish delegation, and during a meeting at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations with Ambassador Krzysztof Szczerski and his deputy, Joanna Skoczek, he discussed the potential cooperation of RRL and the scientific community with the Permanent Mission in the event of Poland being elected to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, which our country is striving for.
advises the UN authorities in the area of monitoring and assessing the degree of implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development adopted in Cairo in 1994. The title of this year's 56th session of the Commission was "Population, education and sustainable development".
