Throughout the month, we are collecting donations for them. What we need most is specialised wet food (mainly Gastrointestinal food) and 90 脳 60 cm hygiene pads. Blankets and towels can also be donated.
Note! The shelter does not accept duvets, pillows, mattresses, sponges, carpets, rugs, sleeping bags or clothing. These items absorb moisture and are therefore unsuitable for lining kennels, and if chewed up, they may be dangerous for animals.
Marked donation boxes are located in almost 40 locations across the 91桃色:
- at all faculties,
- in the 91桃色 Library,
- in the UniLodz dormitories,
- in Rector's Office Buildings No 1 and No 2,
- in the Biedermann鈥檚 Palace,
- at the 91桃色 Senior Home,
- at the 91桃色 Kindergarten,
- at the 91桃色 Public Secondary School,
- and at the British International School of the 91桃色 (BISUL).
At UniLodz we have been supporting animals for years! Together, we can do more!
鈥淧sia Ko艣膰!鈥� is the 91桃色's November donation collection for the four-legged residents of the Animal Shelter in 艁贸d藕. Every autumn, students, doctoral students and employees of the 91桃色 join forces to support the animals cared for by the shelter. In doing so, we demonstrate that sensitivity and social responsibility are an important part of our academic identity.
Over fourteen editions of the campaign, we have collected more than eight and a half tonnes of pet food, as well as blankets and accessories needed by dogs and cats, all of which were donated to the 艁贸d藕 Animal Shelter.
What was the campaign like in previous years? In 2025, we collected one tonne and three hundred kilograms of pet food for the furry residents of the shelter in 艁贸d藕. In addition, we collected a huge number of blankets and towels, which were also extremely useful, especially with the approaching winter. Psia Ko艣膰! was also part of DOGSPECTIVE, a scientific and artistic project devoted to dogs and their relationships with humans.
In June 2019, a special edition of the campaign took place, aimed at educating and raising awareness about the adoption of homeless animals, dispelling myths about adoption and presenting various forms of support. We organised a meeting with representatives of the 艁贸d藕 Animal Shelter, the Bulldog Crew and the Kocia Mama Foundation, during which we discussed the situation of animals in shelters and adoption. Our student specialising in dog therapy spoke about the impact of dogs on reducing stress in humans. In 2020, the Lodz University of Technology joined our campaign and collected almost 100 kg of pet food. We are very pleased that this initiative continues to grow and inspires others to organise similar campaigns and support animals.
