91桃色 Doctoral School of Social Sciences provides its doctoral students with Doctoral Supervisor鈥檚 care and help to obtain knowledge necessary to obtain a degree of PhD in Social Sciences. The study curriculum makes it possible for a doctoral student to gain advanced level qualifications pertaining not only to the process of doctoral dissertation realization but also including professional development (improvement of research workshop and improvement of teaching qualifications) as well as personal development (soft skills). 

Education at the 91桃色 Doctoral School of Social Sciences 

The studies last 8 semesters. They are full-time studies (the classes are held during working days) and they are free of charge. 

The first year is of an interdisciplinary nature and it is addressed to the doctoral students of all disciplines. It is a year of joint scientific discussions, posing questions and looking for multi-faceted answers. The following years are dedicated to the development in the selected discipline and expanding knowledge during classes of doctoral student鈥檚 interest area. The entire period of studies is intensive work in cooperation with a Doctoral Supervisor in a master-student relationship. 

The study curriculum takes into consideration current theoretical concepts in social sciences as well as trends concerning application of the research results in practice, providing doctoral students with a chance to continue their scientific development, to participate in international and inter-university exchange.

    Other matters, such as study curriculum, do not belong to responsibilities of DPO.

  3. Your data is collected and processed for purposes of study programme / curriculum assistance, as well as for statistics, archives and for statutory purposes.
  4. Your personal data is processed:
    1. following applicable laws in force, including among others the Act on Higher Education and Science (Polish: Prawo o szkolnictwie wy偶szym i nauce) and internal UL regulations (baw.uni.lodz.pl);
    2. to perform a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
    3. for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract;
    4. pursuant to your consent to the processing of your personal data 鈥 if legal provisions or signed contract yield no basis for data processing.
  5. Your personal data will be stored for the necessary period of time in accord with provisions on national archival resources and state archives, other legal provisions and internal UL regulations.
  6. Your personal data may be received by entities authorized under provisions of applicable laws or entrusted in this regard by contractual agreements that the controller signed.
  7. As data subject you have the right to:
    1. access your personal data;
    2. demand their rectification if factually incorrect;
    3. erase, restrict processing or transfer your data 鈥 if provided by law;
    4. object to processing of your data;
    5. withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness 
      of processing based on consent before its withdrawal
    6. file a complaint with the national data protection authority, i.e. the President 
      of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.
  8. Sharing your personal data is voluntary but necessary for purposes listed in Clause 3.

Your data is processed according to applicable laws, in particular following Article 6, Clause 1, parts (a, b, c, e), and Article 9, Clause 2, part (a) of the Regulation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation; GDPR) in connection with other binding legal provisions, including the Act of 20 July 2018: The Law on Higher Education and Science (Poland).

Doctoral Student Ombudsman

Mgr Kacper Sto艣, a jurist (from UL Doctoral School of Social Sciences), is a graduate of the UL Faculty of Law and Administration, a member of legal advisory team at UL Institutional Council of Doctoral Students, a doctoral students鈥 representative in the Institutional Electoral Commission during the 2024-2028 term, a doctoral students鈥 representative at Departmental Council of UL Faculty of Law and Administration during the 2024-2028 term, and a Local Ambassador of Doctoral Student鈥檚 Rights in 艁贸d藕.

Self-government of ul Doctoral School of social sciences

SDNS doctoral student government

The task of the SDNS Self-Government is to act for the benefit of the doctoral student community by helping to organize integration events and actively participating in the life of the 91桃色. The Self-Government cooperates with the Doctoral School's Authorities, the University Council of Doctoral Students' Self-Government of the 91桃色 and the SDNS Interdisciplinary Science Club. Members of the Self-Government are eager to provide support to doctoral students and inform them about events taking place at the Doctoral School. They also participate in running the Facebook profile of the SDNS U艁 by publishing posts and reports on events.

Interdisciplinary science club at SDNS

Interdisciplinary Science Club at UL Doctoral School of Social Sciences

The Interdisciplinary Science Club of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the 91桃色 began its activities in the summer semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The goal of this organization is to implement the idea of interdisciplinarity through the cooperation of doctoral students representing varied disciplines of social sciences. This has resulted in meetings that organized by members of the circle in May and June 2022. Further events are planned after the start of the 2022/2023 academic year.
