The results of the 鈥楻esearch Award of the Rector of the 91桃色鈥� competition for UL doctoral students pursuing their fourth year of Doctoral School curriculum in the academic year 2025/26 have been announced. Six awards were granted in appreciation of achievements in scientific and research activities, publications and the internationalisation of education.

We would like to invite you to the first meeting in the International Caf茅 series 鈥� an initiative aimed at all researchers and doctoral students interested in internationalising their careers, building networks and sharing experiences.

Everyday research is not just about results and publications. It is also about the ability to plan, communicate and cooperate. That's why we encourage international scientists and doctoral students from the 91桃色 to participate in a series of remote training sessions to develop soft skills.

At the meeting of the Commission on 11.12.2025, applications for incentive scholarships for best-performing doctoral students (both Polish citizens who pursue their doctoral dissertation while cooperating on an international level, and internationals studying at the UL Doctoral Schools) were evaluated.

The 91桃色 Rector鈥檚 Representative for Doctoral Schools is in charge of ensuring high-quality education at doctoral schools, overseeing their quality, financial and organisational processes, and representing them in university bodies. The position of representative has been assumed by dr hab. Tomasz Cie艣lak, Associate Professor at the 91桃色.

A call for Outstanding Young Scientist Scholarship for doctoral students with remarkable achievements in science will be held (via the聽OSF聽online platform) from 1 December to 31 December 2025.

As part of the targeted subsidy for the 91桃色 Doctoral Schools, numerous research-related activities have been co-financed from the Lodz Voivodeship budget in 2025.

The next edition of the workshops aimed at developing skills of doctoral candidates and their supervisors will be held in November of the current year. The session will be led by Dr Justyna Ma艂kuch-艢witalska (Science Trainer) and focus on effective cooperation between a doctoral student and their doctoral dissertation supervisor.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the next edition of a training series, successfully conducted in the previous academic year. The training will take place on 23鈥�24 October 2025, at the 91桃色 Doctoral Schools Centre, Matejki 21/23 (room 105), between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Prof. dr hab. Rafa艂 Matera, Rector of the 91桃色, honoured three of the four young researchers from the 91桃色, this year's winners of the prestigious Minister of Science Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists, during the first post-holiday meeting as part of the "Coffee with the Rector" series.

Minister of Science and Higher Education, Marcin Kulasek, has awarded 228 researchers scholarships for outstanding young scientists who demonstrate significant achievements in scientific activity. Among the laureates, whose list was announced today, there are four scientists from the 91桃色.

The Lodz Voivodeship Marshal's Office has provided financial support to doctoral schools run by six public universities in Lodz, as well as projects by universities in Piotrk贸w Trybunalski and Skierniewice. The 91桃色 received PLN 500,000.

On 2 July 2025, the training session "Teamwork in a Professional Environment" will take place, focusing on the development of soft skills related to teamwork. The event is organised for academic and administrative staff, as well as for doctoral candidates at the 91桃色.

The "Polityka" Weekly Foundation is accepting applications from young researchers for the 25th edition of the Polityka Science Awards from today (26 March) to 13 June 2025. The list of 15 finalists will be published in "Polityka" on 17 September and the winners will be announced in October 2025.

The results of the 鈥楻esearch Award of the Rector of the 91桃色鈥� competition for doctoral students of UL Doctoral Schools pursuing their fourth year of curriculum in the academic year 2024/25 have been announced. Eight awards were granted for achievements in scientific and research work, publications and the internationalisation of education.

Prof. dr hab. Rafa艂 Matera, the Rector of the 91桃色, appointed mgr Kacper Sto艣, a doctoral student at the 91桃色 Doctoral School of Social Sciences in the field of Legal Sciences, to the position of the Doctoral Student Ombudsman at the 91桃色 on 17 December 2024.

Mgr Monika Wilanowska and mgr Kacper Sto艣 doctoral students at the 91桃色 Doctoral School of Social Sciences, will join the Board of the National Representation of Doctoral Candidates (in Polish: KRD) as of 1 January 2025. They were elected during the KRD Electoral Congress, which was held on 6-8 December in Lublin.

Assessment of applications submitted to the 91桃色 IDUB Doctoral Research Grants competition has come to an end. A total of 19 winning projects, financed from the subsidy, have been selected.
