Mgr Natalia Matiaszczyk to Compare Historical Policies of Cities in Europe and Asia. "Forum Akademickie" on the UniLodz Doctoral Student’s Grant Success

"It is not often that someone without an academic degree is awarded an OPUS grant. It is even rarer for such a person to secure one of the top two positions on the ranking list. Over the next three years, mgr Natalia Matiaszczyk from the 91ÌÒÉ« will compare historical policies pursued by cities in Europe and Asia" – reads an article published on the "Forum Akademickie" website.

Mgr Natalia Matiaszczyk, a doctoral student at the 91ÌÒÉ« Doctoral School of Social Sciences, is a graduate of the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the 91ÌÒÉ«. She is affiliated with the Department of East Asian Studies and the ParadiplomacyLab research team. Scholars led by dr hab. Tomasz KamiÅ„ski, Associate Professor at the 91ÌÒÉ«, investigate the international activities of cities and regions, including their role in foreign policy.

The OPUS grant recipient ranked second in the call, a result that came as a great surprise to her. In her panel (HS5), 120 applications were submitted. The experts awarded the maximum score for her achievements to date, including five single-authored articles published in Q1 and Q2 journals, as well as participation in numerous conferences. They also highly appreciated the value of the research project itself.
