Tymek Papior is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and a producer. He uses modified acoustic instruments, found objects, and field recordings, which he combines with digital MIDI instruments and electronics to distort and create sound. In 2024, he released the albums "Lumbago" and his debut solo album "Rugs/Carpets," which was nominated for the 2025 Fryderyk Award. His latest album "Wspólna Sprawa LP" was released in January of the current year.
Following the performance, Bartosz Nowicki, a music critic, a publicist and a sound researcher, will lead a conversation with the artist. From 2012 to 2018, he ran the blog 1uchem/1okiem, devoted to Polish independent music. He has published in publications including “Polityka”, “Gazeta Magnetofonowa”, “Kwartalnik Muzyczny M/I” and “Czas Kultury”.
The upcoming meetings with individuals involved in the Polish and Ukrainian experimental music and sound art scenes will feature Antonina Nowacka, Katarina Gryvul, Paweł Kulczyński, Olga Anna Markowska and Lutto Lento.
