5th Edition of the "Młodzi Zdolni" Conference – Space for Young Researchers Development

Scientific conferences are often associated with formal presentations and specialised language, which can be difficult for those just starting out in the world of science to grasp. However, events like the "Młodzi Zdolni" conference demonstrate that they can serve a much broader purpose – providing a space for young researchers to develop, share inspiration and build their self-confidence. The 5th anniversary edition of this event confirmed that the initiative has become a permanent fixture in the academic calendar and continues to attract interest from young scientists.

This year's edition brought together nearly 80 participants representing 11 research centres across the country. The event created a space where students and doctoral students could not only present their research results but also gain experience, develop skills and draw inspiration from contact with other young researchers.

For many participants, attending the conference provided an opportunity to challenge themselves with public speaking, hone their presentation skills and learn how to clearly communicate complex scientific content. The event interdisciplinary nature was another significant value of the event. The diversity of presented topics fostered knowledge exchange, the discovery of new research methods and the broadening of perspectives.

The "Młodzi Zdolni" conference is a space for integrating the academic community, fostering relationships and the exchange of experiences between young researchers from various fields of science. We believe that for many participants, it will also be the starting point for further conference activity and the development of their scientific achievements.

The lecture by the UniLodz Vice-Rector, dr hab. Krzysztof Pabis, Associate Professor at the 91ÌÒÉ«, entitled "W 24 godziny dookoÅ‚a Å›wiata: jak zmiany klimatyczne zmieniajÄ… życie na Ziemi" [Around the World in 24 Hours: How Climate Change Is Transforming Life on Earth] was another highlight of the programme. It was an extraordinary journey through contemporary climate challenges, sparking significant interest among the event participants and prompting reflection on the consequences of human activity on the Earth's ecosystem. The interactive nature of the presentation, questions posed to participants and their active engagement made the lecture not only a valuable element of the scientific programme but also an inspiring experience that we believe will stay with the participants for a long time.

The 5th edition of "MÅ‚odzi Zdolni" was organised by a group of scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry, 91ÌÒÉ«, with Dr Kamila Koszelska as the Chair of the Organising Committee. The event received financial support from the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, 91ÌÒÉ«, and the Rector of the 91ÌÒÉ«, which enabled the funding of valuable prizes for the authors of the best presentations.

The 5th edition of the conference confirmed that the "MÅ‚odzi Zdolni" conference, held at the 91ÌÒÉ«, is not only a venue for presenting research but above all, a space for the real development of young scientists and an event whose significance grows with each subsequent edition.
