This time, we have focused on an extremely interesting, yet still relatively niche, specialisation, i.e. indirect procurement. This area is playing an increasingly important role in modern supply chain management. It is also in these areas that we educate our students – niche professions, yet with enormous development potential and growing importance in the labour market.
The meeting topics included:
- Leadership in Procurement – the role of leadership in procurement and building effective procurement teams (Michał Fomaidis)
- The changing procurement environment and project implementation in indirect procurement (Małgorzata Kucharska)
- The Buyer's Handbook – the diversity of roles in procurement departments and a comparison of the operation of large corporations and smaller organisations (Małgorzata Mnich, Paulina Rybińska)
The meetings were not only a solid dose of knowledge, but above all, an opportunity to learn about the realities of working in a global organisation and understand the important role indirect procurement plays in building a competitive advantage for companies.
We would like to thank Beata Czechulska for coordinating our collaboration on behalf of BSH, and the entire BSH team for sharing their experience and inspiring future logistics specialists!
