Contemporary legal education increasingly requires a combination of academic quality, digitisation and strong research resources. It is at the intersection of these areas that we are launching an international project funded by the European Commission: CALSADA R.S.D. – Building Capacity in the Field of Higher Education for Legal, Social, and Digital Advancement through the Promotion of Excellence in Research and Sustainable Connectivity in the Philippines.

The goal of the project is to develop legal education at the master's and doctoral levels in the Philippines toward a more innovative, inclusive and research-based model. CALSADA R.S.D. focuses on strengthening digitisation, enhancing academic quality and building lasting institutional collaborations to expand access to education, develop research potential and support sustainable development.

More than a dozen faculty members will be involved in the project. Dr Izabela Florczak from the Department of Labour Law, Social Security and Social Policy will act as the project manager.

A period of intense international cooperation, the exchange of experiences, and the joint building of lasting academic partnerships lies ahead of us.
