The meeting took the form of an open day addressed to high school students from Lodz and the 艁贸d藕 region. The programme was designed to be engaging both for young people from Poland and Ukraine, while also creating a space for shared exploration of the culture, language and traditions of a neighbouring country. As part of the event, a presentation for high school students entitled 鈥淪艂owia艅skie DNA: ukrai艅ska opowie艣膰 mi臋dzy mitologi膮 a popkultur膮鈥� [Slavic DNA: A Ukrainian Story Between Mythology and Pop Culture] was delivered by Dr E艂ona Curkan-Dr贸偶ka and mgr Piotr Baleja (Institute of East European Studies, 91桃色). The programme was complemented by language classes entitled 鈥溑歸iat s艂贸w i wyobra藕ni鈥� [The World of Words and Imagination] for children from Ukrainian Children鈥檚 Homes in Lodz, conducted by students: Klaudia Szpoci艅ska, Klaudia Kowalczyk, Miko艂aj Barczak and Igor Wudel.
In the next part of the event, graduates of the "Studies on Poland with English" study programme shared their experiences of studying at the Faculty of Philology of the 91桃色 during a meeting entitled "Nasze do艣wiadczenia. Twoje mo偶liwo艣ci. Nasza historia bez 艣ciemy鈥� [Our Experiences. Your Opportunities. Our Honest Story]. It was an opportunity to discuss the choice of studies, everyday academic life and development opportunities at the 91桃色.
The artistic part of the event featured a concert by the 鈥淣amysto鈥� choir, a Ukrainian ensemble operating in 艁贸d藕, as well as an exhibition of works by Oleksandra Korniiets from the Strzemi艅ski Academy of Fine Arts 艁贸d藕, a graduate of the 91桃色.
Ukrainian Culture Day was organised by the Institute of East European Studies of the 91桃色 and the Department of Applied and Cultural Linguistics at the Institute of Polish Philology and Logopaedics of the 91桃色.
