Global Minds Summer School offers a unique opportunity to work and exchange experiences within an international academic environment. The programme combines expert workshops, project-based learning, networking, team-building activities, and reflection on individual academic development. Participants will collaborate with doctoral candidates and students representing various disciplines, universities, and countries, developing competences essential for success in the global research landscape.

Global Minds Summer School 2026 is more than workshops and lectures. It is a space for building international partnerships, gaining new experiences, and developing competences that support success in the global research environment. If you would like to advance your academic career internationally, establish valuable connections, and develop future-oriented skills, we look forward to welcoming you to Lodz in September 2026.


The programme of the Summer School consists of a virtual component, core workshop tracks, and optional modules aimed at developing international and intercultural competences.

An obligatory Moodle-based component forms an integral part of the programme. It is intended to prepare participants for active involvement in the summer school and support the transfer of acquired knowledge into their future academic development.

The component includes:

• Pre-assignment (online)
  A preparatory task completed before arrival in Lodz that helps participants identify their development goals, research needs, and expectations regarding the programme.
• Final Reflective Assignment
  A reflective report prepared after the on-site programme, focusing on how the acquired knowledge, skills, and international experiences can be applied to further academic and professional development.

Each participant selects one of the following thematic tracks:

I. International Research Team Collaboration

A workshop focused on building research cooperation in international settings, creating scientific networks, co-authoring publications, and participating in international projects and grant initiatives. Participants will develop their own international collaboration development plan.

II. Enhancing Research Productivity

A track dedicated to organising the research process, managing literature and research data, planning academic work, academic writing, and the responsible use of digital tools and artificial intelligence in research.

III. Entrepreneurial Impact of Science on Society and the Economy

A workshop exploring how research results can generate social, institutional, and economic value. Participants will work on stakeholder identification, science communication, and designing pathways for research impact.

IV. Building Research Connections: Outdoor Challenge

An interdisciplinary outdoor challenge focused on developing international research relationships, strengthening collaboration skills, intercultural communication, and teamwork.

V. Discovering Lodz: How to Build International Collaboration?

An interactive workshop using the multicultural heritage of Lodz as a starting point for reflection on internationalisation, intercultural cooperation, and responsible academic engagement.

The summer school will take place on 28-30 September 2026 at the Faculty of Management, 91桃色, located at 22/26 Matejki Street, Lodz, Poland.

Selected programme modules will also be held at the 91桃色 Training and Conference Centre and the Central Museum of Textiles in Lodz.

Applications are welcome from:

• Master's students enrolled at international universities;
• Doctoral candidates from international doctoral schools and PhD programmes;
• Doctoral candidates enrolled in doctoral schools in Poland.

Applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level and to participate actively in all programme activities.

The number of places is limited. Participants will be selected through a competitive recruitment process conducted by the organisers.

Participation in Global Minds Summer School 2026 is free of charge.

The summer school is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the STER - Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools Programme.

The organisers provide:

• participation in all programme activities;
• educational materials;
• coffee breaks, lunches, and networking events;
• accommodation for participants arriving from abroad at the 91桃色 Training and Conference Centre (subject to project regulations).

Travel costs to and from Poland are not covered by the project. Participants are responsible for transportation expenses themselves or through their home institutions.
