Text message codes will soon no longer be a supported MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) method when signing in to Microsoft 365 and other 91桃色 systems.
If you currently confirm your sign-in using a text message code, please configure another authentication method as soon as possible to avoid problems accessing services such as Outlook, Teams or OneDrive.

Text message authentication is less resistant to modern account takeover methods used by cybercriminals than authentication applications. More modern solutions offer better protection against threats such as phone number hijacking and message forwarding.

From 1 December, Microsoft 365 will begin displaying prompts to users who rely on text message authentication, informing them that they need to register a new MFA method.

However, from 1 December, a mechanism requiring users to register a new method will be introduced. Reminder prompts will appear, and after closing them, registration may be postponed.
The current plan allows the prompt to be postponed a maximum of five times.

No. The postponement option is intended only for situations where the prompt appears at a time when you are unable to complete the configuration.
The safest approach is to make the change at the first available opportunity.
The system will not allow you to proceed to Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) until a new authentication method has been configured.
The prompt will appear as part of the official Microsoft 365 sign-in process.
Do not configure MFA using random links received by email. If you are unsure, access the Security Info Page directly:
Visit and check in the Security Info Section whether the application has been configured correctly and can be used as an authentication method.
If it has been configured correctly, no further action should be required.
No, it doesn't. Installing an authentication application does not give the 91桃色 administrators access to any personal data stored on your device.
