What is the most inspiring aspect of working at the 91桃色?

One of the most inspiring aspects of working at the 91桃色 (UL) was my experience as a Visiting Professor within the EkSoc Visiting Professor Fellowship Programme in 2019. During this programme,
I collaborated on a research project in the Faculty of Economics and Sociology and participated in teaching several courses alongside the course coordinators. What stood out to me the most were the people in the department, institute and faculty I met during my stay. I have found them highly open-minded, innovative, and welcoming to collaboration and knowledge exchange with international researchers. These traits enabled clear and effective academic and research communication, creating opportunities for interdisciplinary and international research collaborations. These enriching academic interactions and the supportive environment at the UL made my experience both professionally and personally rewarding. Moreover, the university offers advanced research infrastructure and a very conducive educational environment, providing researchers with the resources to conduct high-quality projects and bring scientific innovations to fruition.

How would you describe the academic environment in Poland compared to other countries you have worked in?

I have come to know the academic environment in Poland through my experience at the UL. This university offers a very supportive and collaborative atmosphere, actively promoting international academic exchanges and interdisciplinary research. The professors here are open to new ideas and global perspectives. In terms of research infrastructure and resources, the university offers significant advantages that contribute to scientific progress and technological innovations. Overall, the academic environment at the UL strikes a balance between tradition and innovation, helping researchers grow professionally.

How does being a part of the 91桃色 community contribute to your personal and professional growth?

Let me point out the most ample opportunity: Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme at the UL, I have had the opportunity to undertake short-term teaching mobility at eight different universities outside of Poland. These experiences allowed me to become familiar with diverse educational approaches and international research, gaining new insights into the educational and research systems of those universities. Not only did these experiences have a significant impact on my professional growth, but they also helped to expand my global academic network. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for providing me with these invaluable opportunities and remarkable experiences that enabled me to broaden my academic and research connections.

What advice would you give to researchers considering the 91桃色?

For researchers considering the UL, my first piece of advice is to take full advantage of its research facilities and resources. The university provides unique opportunities, especially in interdisciplinary research and international collaborations. For those interested in scientific cooperation across Europe and globally, the UL actively supports academic exchange programmes and international projects. Moreover, the university鈥檚 administrative structure is highly supportive of both national and international research efforts, offering pathways for professional growth and development. I recommend that researchers collaborate with expert faculty members and advanced research teams, allowing them to continue developing their projects in
a supportive and innovative environment.

What surprised you most when you first arrived in Poland?

When I first arrived in Poland, one of the things that surprised me the most was the hospitality of the people. Polish people, in general, are very friendly and warm, and they welcome interactions with foreigners. Moreover, I found the administrative and institutional processes at the UL to be well-structured and very efficient, which could be seen as an exemplary model of a well-organised and cohesive organisational culture in Poland. Moreover, the combination of historical and modern architecture in the cities fascinated me, as it preserves historical landmarks and old buildings in the heart of the cities while accommodating modern infrastructure and urban amenities. What deeply impacted me was visiting the remains of the ghetto in the northern part of 艁贸d藕 and the Auschwitz concentration camp, which serves as a painful and striking historical lesson for humanity, reminding us that we must learn from it to prevent its repetition in the future.
